Au Pairs Volunteer with SOME in Washington, D.C.
In Washington DC, nearly 1 in 5 residents live at or below the poverty line and struggle to meet even their basic needs. In an effort to do their part, AuPairCare au pairs based in Falls Church, Virginia had the opportunity to give back and learn about the homeless situation in the DC Metro Area by volunteering with SOME.

Last month, California au pairs gathered at the LA Marathon to volunteer at a Department of State-sponsored water station. Cultural Exchange was the chosen theme for the water station, which was complete with au pairs, local foreign exchange students, and other J1 visa holders.

Last month, au pairs in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania volunteered their time as blanketeers for Project Linus, an organization dedicated to providing a sense of security and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets.

AuPairCare's Second Annual Gift of Giving Event
In the spirit of the upcoming holidays, two AuPairCare Area Directors from Dallas, Texas wanted to share the gift of giving with their au pairs and host families by partnering with their local children's hospital, Scottish Rite. Together they organized their second annual Gift of Giving event that was sure to warm the hearts of the children and their families in residency.

Ohio Community Travels the World with Local Au Pairs
Earlier this year, the community of Creekside Early Childhood school took a trip around the world! While no real airplanes were involved, over 300 students and their families had an amazing time learning all about different countries with the help of AuPairCare au pairs.
