Ultimate Au Pair Finalist, Une from South Africa

Ultimate Au Pair Finalist, Une from South Africa

What impressed me the most about Uné was her eagerness and willingness to jump on a plane to come 18 hours away from her home into a family that she only knew via email and Skype, and that she was not intimidated whatsoever with the fact that we had five children, and the sixth on the way. Her boldness and positive attitude has stood out since day one, not to mention her gentleness and loving ways with the children

Au Pair Hanna and her Texas Host Family

Ultimate Au Pair Finalist, Hanna from Germany

When I ask my children what they like about Hanna, they say things like “she stops us when we fight,” “she never yells” and “she plays the Homework game with us.”

Au Pair Danielle from the United Kingdom

Ultimate Au Pair Finalist, Danielle from the United Kingdom

Being a brand new mom, there were times when juggling a full time job and the demands of a newborn were daunting both emotionally and physically. Every single time without fail when I was at the end of my rope, Dani was there to rock our crying infant to sleep, surprise us with a homemade dinner, or organize some part of our home that had been neglected.

Ultimate Au Pair Runner-up Svetlana from Czech Republic

Ultimate Au Pair Runner-Up - Svetlana from the Czech Republic

There are “I love you’s” and laughter flying around my house.  I see her running after my four year old or being tackled by my eleven year old. I see in everything she does that she loves my kids.  She talks to them like a big sister and cares for each of them in ways specific to their needs even if that means being firm in a challenging moment.

Brazilian Au Pair Mayara is AuPairCare's Ultimate Au Pair

Meet AuPairCare's Ultimate Au Pair Winner 2015 - Mayara from Brazil!

We had a relatively calm household, with a new house and an even-tempered 2.5 year old who made us believe we could readily handle a second child. But then we found out we were going to have Twins. We began searching for someone willing to take on the challenge of caring for infants full-time and living in a house with three kids under three years old.  Enter Mayara.

Brazilian Au Pair and Host Mom

Ultimate Host Mom Winner - Kim

We reached out to our au pairs and asked them to tell us why they their host mom should hold the title of AuPairCare's Ultimate Host Mom! Carol, a Brazilian au pair living in Minnesota submitted the winning entry about her host mom Kim!

Serbian AuPairCare Au Pair

2013 Ultimate Au Pair Winner Dijana from Serbia

I love having Dijana in our home because she is not thought of as “help” but part of the family. She and I have a wonderful relationship. She knows what I expect and I know what she expects. And she’s always a step ahead of me. I am amazed how many times we are in the car and I say I forgot something only to find out she remembered it. Furthermore, she is consistently concerned about my children’s safety. She is always trying to teach my children and make each day a learning experience.

Colombian AuPairCare Au pair

2013 Ultimate Au Pair Finalist Cata from Colombia

Cata is the au pair of our dreams, except we wouldn’t have known to dream this big.

My husband and I are very blessed to have three wonderful kids – 4, 2 and 8 months – and two great jobs. However, with these blessings come, well, an insane schedule. And before our au pair, Cata, arrived, we were drowning.

Bosnian AuPairCare Au Pair

2013 Ultimate Au Pair Finalist Esena from Bosnia

Our kids have three parents: Mommy, Daddy, and Esena. We proudly say that many times our kids prefer Esena. Who wouldn't? She is a shining light of positive energy eager to try anything new.

German AuPairCare Au Pair

2013 Ultimate Au Pair Finalist Sandra from Germany

As we head into the second year of having Sandra as part of our household, I could not adequately find the words to describe how important she has become to our family. Our household is one comprised of two career professionals: one a Marine officer and one a corporate executive whose schedules always keep us on the go with frequent travel that is often overseas. Because of this, we find ourselves ever reliant upon our au pair Sandra to help make sure that the trains at home continue to run on time
