Preparing for the Summer Travel Season

With summer approaching it is the perfect time to remind au pairs and host families of all the resources available to help make every participant's program year the best it can be! Please reach out to your Area Director in advance of any international travel or with any questions you may have regarding your program year.

Au Pairs

• If you plan to travel outside the USA this summer, AuPairCare strongly recommends reviewing our resource on traveling outside of the USA while on program. Remember, it is an au pair's responsibility to review this document and to check her/his visa and passport to ensure a seamless reentry into the United States.

Host Families

• Be proactive in speaking with your au pairs about upcoming travel plans and try to work out your scheduling as early as possible.
• Encourage your au pairs to review the resources available in their Au Pair Room portal, especially if your au pair is planning to travel outside the United States this summer.
• Also don't forget, whether it's your first or your eighth placement, the Thrive Guide is a great tool to set you up for success. Further, your Family Room portal has many other resources available to you throughout your placement.
