Meet au pair Fernanda from Brazil! Fernanda lives in Texas with her host family, where she cares for their two daughters. Her host family shared how they found their perfect match with Fernanda. Now, Fernanda shares her experience living and travelling with her host family in the US:

Throughout the summer, I visited eight states plus Washington, DC. Yet I can say without a doubt that the most beautiful place I have visited during my lifetime was Alaska. Visiting Alaska is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Every view looks like a postcard: the mountains, the animals, the ocean, even the sun that sets after 11 p.m. in the summer. Everything about Alaska is truly magical.

Being an au pair has not only given me the chance to improve my English and visit special places, it has also introduced me to people that I want to remain in touch with forever. My host family is not only in Texas, it now extends to Alaska, too. I'm super excited for the seasons and memories that have yet to come, but this last summer will always have a special place in my heart.
