Lakeshore Elementary students learn Spanish through enrichment program

"Buenos días!” shouted the students of Lakeshore Elementary. They not only knew how to greet properly in Spanish but also knew their colors, numbers, animals, body parts, family designations, weather and happily sang a couple of songs in Spanish; complete with the motions. New Jersey Au Pairs at Build-A-Bear

AuPairCare Au Pairs Continue Tradition of Charity in Their New Jersey Community

For the past seven years, AuPairCare Area Director Kim Gamelli has worked with her local au pairs and host families to donate Build-a-Bear bears to the Center for Family Services (CFFS) in New Jersey. The CFFS is located in the same community where the host families and au pairs live, allowing au pairs to leave a lasting, positive impact on their temporary new home.

Harmony Man Enjoys Guiding Au Pairs Through Amish Country

Mike Peters of Harmony had a special surprise on Sunday, March 30, when a group of visitors approached him to get information about the Amish community. As the owner of Budget Ride, a local travel agency providing tickets to Amish using public transportation, Peters was thrilled to play host to the visitors, who were all part of an international au pair program.

The White House, built in 1792 and home to all U.S. presidents since President John Adams, is arguably the most famous house in the world. Annually, thousands upon thousands of visitors from across the United States and the globe visit what was once referred to as ‘the President’s Palace’. This spring, 18 DC area au pairs had the amazing opportunity to visit this beloved American landmark.

International Students Pack Gifts for World's Needy Children

They came to Bucks County from around the world, and now 15 au pairs will send gifts out around the world. The 15 women, from countries such as Colombia, Brazil, South Africa and Poland, brought their donations and donations from their host families and au pair coordinators to pack in gift boxes Saturday night. The 50 gifts from the event will go to Operation Christmas Child, the annual gift collection run by the Samaritan’s Purse charity.

Rain was not going to keep Gabriela Iniquez away from her mission on this wet Saturday morning. Gabriela and a team of her fellow AuPairCare au pairs from around the world living for a year in Walnut Creek were determined to do their part to make their temporary community better than they found it.
