Brazilian Au Pair Embraces Volunteering

When Brazilian au pair Francielly came to the USA, her Area Director, Kay, invited her to volunteer at a local food bank. Francielly, though new to Texas and the community, immediately felt a pull towards helping on a regular basis.

It takes a special kind of person to dedicate her free time to others, but for Francielly, it was easy. She shared, 'I always wanted to help people somehow. In Brazil it is hard to find a place so organized and engaged like the food bank in Temple, so when I was introduced to this program I had no doubt that I should help, plus I always had free time in the mornings so I had no excuse."
