AuPairCare's 2022 Ultimate Host Family Finalists

Every year at AuPairCare our au pairs take a moment to recognize the host families that have welcomed them into their homes and lives, and embraced the spirit of cultural exchange. This contest was one of the most competitive ever, but hundreds of entries and many deliberations, we have our list of finalists! Be sure to read the stories of our wonderful host family finalists!

Winner! The Blankenship Family from Tennessee

Nominated by Juana, she shares about the Blankenships that "since I've arrived here, they've welcomed me into their home with a lot of love and made me part of their family. This is the best experience in my life and undoubtedly They're the best host family ever". Read Juana's full entry here.

Finalist - The Kanters Cove Family from Ohio

For au pair Ana from Mexico, she knew her host family was the Ultimate from the start! Ana says "Ever since I met them, I knew our connection was real and my fear of failing in this adventure rapidly disappeared. My new host family welcomed me into their home and hearts without hesitation nor boundaries."

Finalist - The Ali Family from California

Shoutout to the Ali Family! From the beginning, their au pair Ingrid from Brazil has been welcomed into their hearts and home. Ingrid's nomination includes "this bond that we have that eases my homesick for my homeland and makes my heart feel mild, if it weren't for them, everything here would be more difficult... for me they sure are my perfect match, my Ultimate host family."

Finalist - The Quirin Family from Florida

Busra from Turkey shares her life-changing experience with the Quirin host family, saying "They're the best, amazing, wonderful family I've ever lived in two years. You can talk everything (you can't even imagine) with them especially my host mom. She's like my life coach, my best friend...she helped me a lot to put myself together."

Finalist - The McCormick Family from Washington

Let's go McCormicks! They were nominated by au pair Andrea from Mexico with flying colors, " I don't even know where to start describing how amazing they really are, for real. They are people in whom you can fully trust, they are humble and respectful. One thing for sure is that they are happy, and when you are around them, that happiness is transmitted to you."

Finalist - The Rami Family from California

Andrea from Mexico raves about her wonderful host family, The Ramis, and how they exemplify being an Ultimate Host Family. Her entry shares "My host family has already forever changed who I am and who I will be. I cannot believe in just 9 months I have learned and experienced so much thanks to my host family and their love and generosity."

Finalist - The Stevens Family from Virginia

"It has only been a year and I am so glad to say I did not only find the right host family but I did also find my best friends, my angels, my favorite people. Finalist - The Huber Family from Delaware

Props to the Huber household! Bianca from Brazil shares how she and her host mom make the ultimate team together "it's amazing how she unfolds and is dedicated to everything, but mainly to her children. Despite the busy routine full of commitments, makes me feel welcome and a part of the family every minute. My host mom is like those super women, she can do everything and a little more!"

Finalist - The Knowles Family from Washington

Shari from Germany on her wonderful host family, the Knowles, "they´ve welcomed me with open arms and such happy faces...they help me to grow and to be myself and that´s what makes them the ultimate host family. They motivate me every day to be the best version of myself and give me the freedom to be it."

Finalist - The Jagger Family from New Jersey

Aitor from Spain is a big fan of his host family, the Jaggers! His nomination highlights how the Jaggers welcomed him , "As all au pairs know, leaving your home is not easy. But the Jagger family did everything for making me feel part of the family since the beginning".
