Lakeshore Elementary students learn Spanish through enrichment program

Colombian Au Pair Volunteers in Texas

"Buenos días!” shouted the students of Lakeshore Elementary. They not only knew how to greet properly in Spanish but also knew their colors, numbers, animals, body parts, family designations, weather and happily sang a couple of songs in Spanish; complete with the motions. All of this was due to hard work by community volunteer Laura Suarez, an AuPairCare au pair from Colombia. Laura has always had a passion for helping children, and enjoyed her time spent teaching the students Spanish for the past two months.
