There are no words to describe how grateful we are to have Nicole in our lives! My husband is a full time student, and I am an Army Officer. We have 4 kids ages: 6, 5, 4, and 4. Managing their day to day activities is not a feat for the faint of heart, but Nicole does it day in and day out with EASE and LOVE! On top of shuttling 4 kids to and from different schools, making meals and doing laundry, Nicole somehow finds time (and energy) to do extra activities with the kids. I love getting pics and videos from her while at work, showing me a new song they learned (in Portuguese!) or a fun art project they created. In addition to our 4 kids being so close in age, 2 of them are English Language Learners.
Nicole has met this challenge not only with confidence, but with pure joy. Her efforts in helping them improve their English cannot be understated. Nicole eagerly spends time with us as a family on her off hours. She comes along for family outings or stays in with us on family movie nights. Likewise, Nicole has truly taken advantage of the great travel opportunities while here in New York. She has been eagerly touring the East Coast: Connecticut, Boston, NYC, Washington D.C., Baltimore, and Niagara Falls, and has a final trip planned to Chicago soon! As she nears the end of her time with us, our hearts grow heavy.
We are so happy to have had her as part of our family and sad to see her go. But we know that the love we've shared will last a lifetime. We can't wait to visit her and her family in Brazil someday soon! It will be a grand family reunion for us all :).
