My whole experience was amazing. I keep in touch with my family, even today! My English was not a concern during my placement year, so I studied Spanish and advanced photography while I was in Portland. But even not needing any more English, my ability to use the language got to a point that I could be confused as an American. After coming back I got my Michigan ECPE certificate! This experience made me want to explore more and more. I did another exchange program in France, and traveled abroad several times. Now I can say that I´m a citizen of the world instead of only Brazilian. I work in a Binational Center in my city with Brazilian students who wish to study in USA Undergraduate and Graduate programs. I also work with the Prometric testing center in Recife and help with document translation.
