Affordable Live-In Childcare
Finding affordable, high-quality at home childcare is a challenge many parents face. The cost of childcare can vary greatly depending on where you live, the age of your children, and the number of children you have. AuPairCare offers an affordable live-in option for parents unwilling to sacrifice the level of care that their children receive.
For $320 per week, or $7 per hour families can have an in-home caregiver that looks after their children for up to 45 hours per week in the safety of their own home.
We believe that when you compare the other available childcare options, AuPairCare is the best option.
At Home Care vs. Outside of Home ChildCare
Outside of home care such as a day care center or a home care center may appear to be the most affordable option. However, before making a decision it is helpful to consider the following questions.
Do you have a regular schedule? Are you able to leave work early if necessary?
Many centers charge late fees (as high as $1 per minute) if you are unable to pick up your child at the scheduled pick-up time.
AuPairCare au pairs have a flexible schedule which is based upon your family's needs. Au pairs can care for your children for up to 45 hours per week, up to 10 hours per day.
What are the ages of your children? How many children do you have?
Daycare centers charge an additional fee for each child and different fees based upon the age of your child.
AuPairCare program fees are the same regardless of the number of children you have.
Is the care of your children personalized? Are the toys available safe and age-appropriate? Are meals and nap times personalized for your child's needs? Are sick children who are contagious kept at home?
AuPairCare provides personalized childcare by having a low caregiver to child ratio. You interview and select the au pair that best meets your child's needs. Au pairs care for your children in the safety and comfort of your home.
Is the center licensed? Are caregivers trained in first aid? CPR?
AuPairCare is regulated by the U.S. Department of State. All of our au pairs undergo CPR and safety training as part of our 4-day orientation and training program in New Jersey.
In-Home Childcare
After considering these questions, you may have decided that you would prefer in-home childcare. A nanny can be an expensive option - at up to $700 or more a week.
Keep in mind that some nannies may require benefits such as health insurance or paid vacation. Nanny agencies are not regulated so nannies may not have childcare, first aid or CPR training.
First aid, CPR training and health insurance for your au pair are already included in the basic program fees for AuPairCare!
