My name is Paulina. I'm 19. I come from Poland. Everything started in July 9th, 2007. This is the date when I arrived to the United States. Now I'm staying in Chicago, IL. I'm taking care of three kids - 2, 3 and 5 years old. (Two boys and a girl). My Host Family is very nice. I have very good relationship with them. In my free time I'm going out with my friends or talking with my parents and friends from Poland. I'm also taking English classes in college. I'm having great time getting new experience, meeting new people, and visiting new places. By being here in the United States I could see what Halloween Day looks like. I bought my Halloween costume and I went trick or treating with the kids. That was very fun!
A few weeks ago I flew to Florida with my host family and my friend who is an au pair too. We spent three days there. It was beautiful. There is always good weather, no snow. Chicago is already cold and rainy, but in Florida it is hot. People are hanging out on the beaches. The palm trees and other plants create beautiful views there. I'll never forget that trip. I'm very happy I decided to become an au pair and go to the U.S. I'm sure this experience will bring only advantages into my life.
