My name is Kimmy and I am an au pair from Korea. I decided that I wanted to be an au pair in USA because I love children and I hoped it could improve my English. I also wanted to meet new friends, get to know USA and its culture. I think becoming an au pair is the ideal way because I have experence babysitting children and I just love to be around them. At home I worked in an English school and I helped teaching children different areas such as language, art, math, science, outside activities, cooking class, story time, hygiene, snacks, lunch time. As an au pair I am always motivating children to developing their skills and knowledge, building independence and encouraging creativity all the time.
When I came to USA I liked the other girls at the Au Pair Academy training and before we met our new families we decided to meet again in New York in the next year. I was very nervous to meet my new AuPairCare family because I want them to like me. They are very kind to me and Jackson and Madison the kids are so great. Every day Jackson goes to school and with baby Madison we go to the park and play with other kids and au pairs. I have learned how to cook American food and my favorite is the same as Jackson—macaroni and cheese!
I am so happy I made the decision to be an AuPairCare au pair because it is the best experience in my life and I think I will extend my time with the Carroll family for another year. For New Year when the family is in Florida I will visit New York with my au pair girlfriends.
