Hello. I like being an au pair with AuPairCare very much. In my home country I have five siblings and I miss them very much, but I feel like my host family – the Ards – are like my new family. I experienced my first Halloween because we do not celebrate this holiday in France and I dressed up as a witch for a party. We also dressed Lola the baby as a pumpkin which was very funny. At Christmas we went to visit Scottsdale Arizona and the grandparents gave me a present of a camera so I can take pictures of my time in the USA! At Easter I painted eggs which was fun and we ate a very big meal after the Easter egg hunt with lots of kids at our house. I like the holidays in America with my host family because they are very different than in my home country.
Being an au pair, I have made a very close relationship with the host children. Mike and Sarah (the children I care for) like to show me new things and like to help me with my English homework from the college where I take classes on Thursday evening. I feel like Lola is my baby also because she is so sweet and I love her very much. I think when I go back to France I will miss Lola and my host family like I miss my family when I am in America. I have already invited them to visit me in France so they can meet my family and experience holidays in France that they do not have in America. Being an au pair has changed my life and now I am more lucky than other people because I have 2 families – my French family and my American family.
