Extend Your Stay

If you are enjoying your year as an au pair, you may want to consider the benefits of extending your program and staying longer. You could earn more than $10,000 and enjoy another year in the United States.

You can extend to stay in the United States as an au pair for another 6, 9 or 12 months after your current program ends. Most extending au pairs choose to extend with their current family.  However, you can also extend to find a new host family for your extension period, as new host families are eager to match with au pairs who have proven experience.

Complete information about extending your au pair program can be found the in the Au Pair Handbook, available in Au Pair Room.

When you extend, you’ll enjoy:

Over $10,000 in financial benefits

  • A weekly stipend of $195.75
  • An additional education stipend up to $500
