Dear All,

December is here, and I hope you are all looking forward to celebrating the Holidays American style!

I know, as a foreigner myself, that Christmas can also be a difficult time to be away from home, and can make you a bit homesick..It is especially important at this time to reach out to other Au Pairs if you feel down at all, as well as to your Host Families and myself - I am more than happy to chat : )

On a happier note though, I would love to hear any of your Holiday Traditions from you home country that you might like to share..? for example, in England we have Christmas Crackers on the dinner table on Christmas Day. You and your neighbor each grab a side and pull! and the person that gets the largest half of the cracker gets the prize inside! - usually a paper crown hat, silly joke, and little gift!!

Let me know something unique about how you celebrate the Holidays in your country..??
