Au Pair Café

As you all know your weekly stipend will be increasing this month starting JULY 23rd by just under $20.00 per week - from $157.95 to $176.85.  This is for both 1st year au pairs and extension au pairs as well.  Elite au pair’s stipends will not be affected as this increase is connected to minimum wage.  An Elite’s stipend is above minimum wage calulations set by the Department of State (sorry elite au pairs!).   Since the stipend increase takes place mid week you will get your first raise the following Friday or Saturday (July 25th or 26th) depending on your payday.  The stipend will increase again next July - good news for those of you considering extending for another year!   Who is planning on extending for another year???
