I’ve received some comments by e-mail about how July may not be a good time to visit Six Flags due to the heat and long lines on weekends. After the baseball game in 98 degree heat yesterday they may have a point. As such, I would like to propose an alternative to the amusement park. I’d like to hear what you guys have to say about an overnight camping trip in mid July. It would be at a local camping area where you would have the opportunity to go boating, play mini golf, frisbee golf, go on a nature walk around the lake or just sit around the camp with friends. If you will respond to this blog and vote for which event you would prefer, I will tally up the votes and we will do whichever event is more popular. It may be better to visit the amusement park once the kids go back to school (shorter lines and cooler weather). Let me know what you think. I thought about a white water rafting trip but the cost is $59 and I didn’t think many of you would want to spend that much. If I’m wrong about that let me know. I would be happy to plan a white water rafting trip for us.

I like your idea but again it is too much for me. What about go fishing at Burke Lake or one day adventure like that, rafting, whatever which costs cheaper??

Well, I was in for the six flags or the camping idea but the rafting trip I don’t know because I don’t know how to swim yet. But, I am not confortable but if you gave me the adress of the siteweb I can look and see..
maybe it will be ok..
just tell me when it will too because I am going to travel with my host family in California..

Hey Hi…I think is a wonderful ideia…I just LOVE camps…I did it in Brazil and everytime was wonderful!!!! The problem is really the money…=/…July will be my break from classes and I’m plaining to go some places and my vacations will be in the first week what mean to spend money! Hope I could go!!!
