Au Pair Café

If you want to do something this weekend and want other au pairs to join you, you can post a comment here. Pack some drinks and a snack or lite lunch and go hiking at Castle Rock State Park located in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Take Hwy 9 through downtown Saratoga to Skyline Blvd. Go left on Skyline approximately 2 -3 miles - Castle Rock is on the right - street parking is available and there is also a pay parking lot ($5.00). Last weekend I went to Capitola Beach - it was such a great day! If you have never been there you must go! Capitola Beach is the best beach town in Northern California and is located just 15 minutes south of Santa Cruz. It may be a little chilly at the coast this weekend so you might want to wait until the weather warms back up. Next Saturday, May 10th, is radio station KFOG’s KaBoom concert and fireworks display on the pier in San Francisco. It is a big crowd scene with live bands and tickets are pretty inexpensive. Another big event coming up in San Francisco this month is the Bay to Breakers foot race on Sunday, May 18th. It is a wild and crazy race with thousands of people in all kinds of costumes (and some wearing very little at all!). Streets across the city are closed down for about 60,000 people (no kidding), to run, walk, or jog the 12K course. There is a party afterwards in Golden Gate Park.
