If you want to plan something fun for THIS weekend (May 3rd and 4th) and want other au pairs to join you, you can post a comment here. Last weekend I spent the day with friends at Capitola Beach. If you have not been there yet you have to go! It is the best little beach town in northern California - located about 15 minutes south of Santa Cruz. Parking can be a little crazy but it is worth it. Coming up NEXT Saturday, May 10th, is radio station KFOG’s KaBoom! concert and fireworks display on the pier in San Francisco. It is a big crowd scene with live bands and tickets aren’t too expensive. Another big event coming up in San Francisco is the Bay to Breakers foot race in San Francisco on Sunday, May 18. That is kind of expensive to enter but you can go as a spectator and even join in the race unofficially. It is a big, crazy, once-in-a-lifetime kind of event. Streets across the City are closed down for about 60,000 people (no kidding), to run, walk, or jog the 12K course. There is a big party afterwards in Golden Gate Park. So, if you want to get some friends together for one of these events, or you have another idea, post a comment here to find other interested people.
