Aupairs welcome to South Carolina & Georgia. This part of the South is also referred to as The Lowcountry. It is called the Lowcountry because much of the land is under sea level. We are surrounded by beautiful marshes and beaches and rivers that have a coastal tide change of about 8 feet. Savannah is located on the border of South Carolina and Georgia. I live in Hilton Head, SC which is about 30 mins away. This is truly the heart of the South, you will find the people are very friendly with “Southern Hospitality”. hey christina! I am from germany ( a big denmark fan!!!) and in jacksonville, florida since december. I´ve been to savannah several times and it is soooo beautiful….so many art and design students
