Hello,
My best advice is to spend as much time as possible with your host family the first few weeks. It is important to develop a strong relationship early on. Also, it is really important to attend the monthly events. This is the best way to build a strong relationship with you Area Director. It is also a great way to meet other aupairs. All of these relationships are an important part of an aupair’s year in the US!
