Finding a Host Family: The Au Pair Matching Process
With AuPairCare's award-winning online matching system, you get to choose your host family. Your au pair application will be placed in our online matching system, allowing screened, qualified host families to learn about your interests, skills and preferences. Host families that are interested in welcoming you into their home as an au pair will contact you to conduct a phone interview.
During the telephone interview, the family will introduce themselves and provide you with information about their children, their community and other important considerations. You will have an opportunity to tell the family about yourself and why you want to be an au pair in the USA. The interview is a chance for you and the family to learn more about each other, so it is helpful to prepare a list of questions to ask the family.
You may interview one family or several to find a compatible family. Once you and the host family have selected each other, AuPairCare arranges everything.
