Were you aware that the New Jersey coastline (or the Jersey Shore as locals refer to it) is known for its miles of boardwalk which are perfect for a run or walk along the beach? Did you know that Ohio holds the world record for an amusement park with the most roller coasters?

During your year as an au pair in the United States, you will have the chance to learn what it's really like to live in America. There is no better way to learn about a different culture than to be completely immersed in it. Living with your host family and caring for their children will do just that. From everyday activities like going to the grocery store or eating dinner, to weekend trips or holiday gatherings, you will be surrounded by American culture.

You'll get to know your community, visit new places on weekends, and travel during your two-week paid vacation. Your visa also gives you an extra month to travel throughout the United States at the end of your program. So whether you decide to explore the U.S. on your own or with friends you meet on the program, there are many adventures awaiting you.
