Experience life in the United States as an Au Pair Care au pair! Become part of a new family and see how Americans live day-to-day. Make friends from around the world and travel throughout the U.S. Improve your English and attend classes at a nearby university. Plus, discover the rewards of caring for children. Every year, thousands of au pairs share these experiences when they go abroad through Au Pair Care.
Since 1989, Au Pair Care has successfully placed over 40,000 au pairs with caring host families in America. As an official au pair agency designated by the U.S. Department of State, Au Pair Care will sponsor your J-1 visa, organize your travel to and from the U.S., provide you with health insurance, match you with a host family and offer local support throughout your year in the U.S.
As an au pair living abroad, you will spend 12 months living with a carefully screened American family and caring for their children up to 45 hours per week. In your free time, you can meet new friends and experience life in the U.S. To become an au pair, you need to be between 18 and 26 years of age, have experience caring for children, speak English, and be a high school graduate, among other qualifications. Au Pair Care’s proprietary Infant Specialized Training utilizes a hands-on approach to train au pairs in infant safety, the “American way” of infant care giving, infant stimulation and development. Infant Specialized au pairs are certified in infant CPR and first aid by the American Heart Association and also receive instruction in infant sign language and baby massage. This additional infant care training will help nurture your baby's healthy growth and encourage language development.
