Au Pair Responsibilities
Au pairs offer host families a flexible and dependable childcare solution. Your au pair will work up to 45 hours per week/10 hours a day performing childcare and related tasks including:
- Light housekeeping, such as doing your children's laundry & keeping their rooms tidy
- Preparing your children's meals and cleaning up after their mealtime
- Bathing and dressing your children
- Packing lunches, helping with homework and taking your children to school
- Entertaining your children and teaching them about a new culture
- Taking your children on outings to parks, playgroups and other activities
- Traveling with you on family vacations and providing care for your children
Au Pair Care’s Qualifications
With more than 20 years of experience, our thorough au pair screening process, combined with our Au Pair Academy training program guarantee the highest quality of childcare. Every au pair who participates in our program must complete a comprehensive screening and admissions process. All au pairs have experience caring for children and provide detailed information about their background, personal interests and skills. Every au pair is interviewed in English by an Au Pair Care representative and must successfully pass a series of background checks prior to his/her acceptance by Au Pair Care, including:
- Reference checks
- A health check
- A psychometric test
- A police background check
- A detailed personal interview
